Change in the Shameless Self-Promotion Schedule
I’ll be at the Easton News Center this Saturday from 11-1, signing my book, Art Drives on Delmarva: a guide to over 350 studios, galleries, attractions and events on the Delmarva Peninsula.
The Cocktails and Conversation Party at the Rehoboth Theater of the Arts has been re-scheduled for Saturday, June 26.
Fresh Food Film Fest
Foodies, socially conscious consumers, and connoisseurs of documentary films should check out Delaware’s Fresh Food Film Festival.
Co-sponsored by the Historic Lewes Farmers Market and the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market, it’s a series of films planned to expand our knowledge of how, what, and why we eat.
The first film is “Food, Inc.” The Academy Award Nominee for the Best Documentary Feature looks at the U.S. food industry and its impact on our food supply, health, economy, agricultural workers, farm families, and the environment. (Spoiler alert: the industry does not win any good citizenship awards.) Experts like Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) and Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) weigh in with a lot of information to chew on.
The screening is Sat., May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Milton Theatre in Milton, DE. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors. There’s a reception with light refreshments and a cash bar at 5 p.m. and a Q&A/discussion session after the movie. For more information, http://www.miltontheatre.org/
